Radial vs. Focused Shockwave Therapy: What's the Difference?

Shockwave therapy has become an increasingly important modality in physical therapy, sports medicine, rehabilitation, and other musculoskeletal treatment settings. However, clinics researching shockwave therapy equipment will quickly encounter two common technologies: radial pressure wave therapy and focused shockwave therapy. Although the terms are sometimes used interchangeably, radial and focused systems generate and deliver mechanical energy differently.
