The Whitehall 105 Gallon Hi-Boy Whirlpool - Mobile (WHH-105-M) is a large-capacity hydrotherapy tub designed for physical therapy, rehabilitation, sports medicine, and athletic training applications. Its deep Hi-Boy tank supports shallow or deep body immersion, providing extensive treatment coverage while maintaining the flexibility of a mobile whirlpool.
The WHH-105-M combines a durable Type 304 stainless steel tank with four heavy-duty locking casters, an adjustable turbine assembly, and pump-out drainage capability. Because it does not require a permanent plumbing connection, this mobile physical therapy whirlpool can be repositioned between treatment areas when empty.
105 Gallon Mobile Hi-Boy Hydrotherapy Tub
The Whitehall WHH-105-M features a 28-inch-deep Hi-Boy tank designed to provide greater immersion than lower-profile whirlpool configurations. Whitehall recommends the model for shallow or deep body immersion, with coverage of the extremities as well as the back and shoulder area.
Its 48-inch-long by 24-inch-wide tank provides substantial treatment space while the deeper Hi-Boy configuration makes this 105-gallon hydrotherapy tub particularly useful when greater immersion is needed.
Physical Therapy Whirlpool for Deeper Immersion
The WHH-105-M is designed for professional hydrotherapy applications where clinicians need more treatment depth than smaller extremity or lower-profile whirlpools provide. The deeper tank can support treatment involving the lower extremities, hips, back, and other areas requiring increased immersion.
This professional physical therapy whirlpool is well suited for facilities including:
- Physical therapy and rehabilitation clinics
- Athletic training rooms
- Sports medicine facilities
- Hospitals and healthcare facilities
- Colleges and universities
- Professional and collegiate athletic programs
Mobile Hydrotherapy Tub with Locking Casters
The WHH-105-M is equipped with four heavy-duty locking casters that allow the empty hydrotherapy tub to be moved between treatment areas. Once positioned, all four casters can be locked to help keep the unit securely in place during use.
The mobile configuration provides an advantage for facilities that do not have a dedicated hydrotherapy room or need to use the whirlpool in multiple treatment areas.
Whitehall specifies that the whirlpool must be completely drained before it is moved.
No Permanent Plumbing Connection Required
Unlike the stationary WHH-105-S, the mobile WHH-105-M does not require a special permanent plumbing connection. A clean water source is needed for filling, while used water can be directed to an available sink, floor drain, or standpipe during drainage.
This makes the mobile Hi-Boy particularly useful for rehabilitation and athletic training facilities where greater flexibility is needed in the placement of hydrotherapy equipment.
Durable Type 304 Stainless Steel Construction
The WHH-105-M hydrotherapy tub is fabricated from heavy-duty Type 304 stainless steel for strength and durability in professional treatment environments.
Stainless steel provides a smooth surface that supports routine cleaning and sanitation between treatments, making it well suited for frequent use in physical therapy, rehabilitation, and athletic training facilities.
Adjustable 1/2 HP Whirlpool Turbine
The Whitehall WHH-105-M includes an adjustable turbine assembly powered by a 1/2 HP jet pump motor. The turbine can be raised, lowered, and rotated so the position of the water outlet can be adjusted for different treatment applications.
A pressure control valve allows the level of water circulation to be adjusted during use. Whitehall specifies a circulation range of up to 15 gallons per minute.
Pump-Out Drainage for Mobile Use
The standard reversing turbine also helps simplify drainage. After treatment, the discharge nozzle can be directed into an available sink, floor drain, or standpipe and the turbine can be used to pump water from the tank.
Any remaining water can then be removed through the lower drain valve. This system allows the WHH-105-M to function without the permanent drain connection required by stationary whirlpools.
Water Temperature Monitoring
A tank-mounted dual-scale thermometer allows clinicians to monitor water temperature during hydrotherapy treatment. The thermometer displays both Fahrenheit and Celsius readings.
The hydrotherapy tub itself does not heat, cool, or automatically regulate the water temperature.
Warm Hydrotherapy and Cold-Water Applications
The Whitehall WHH-105-M can support both circulating whirlpool hydrotherapy and cold-water immersion. When cold-temperature treatment is required, the turbine assembly and thermometer can be removed so the stainless steel tank can function as a cold-water treatment tub.
The turbine and thermometer can then be reinstalled when circulating whirlpool hydrotherapy is required, providing additional flexibility for rehabilitation and athletic training programs.

Hi-Boy vs. Lo-Boy Hydrotherapy Tubs
The primary advantage of a Hi-Boy whirlpool is its additional tank depth. With a 28-inch-deep tank, the WHH-105-M provides greater immersion than Whitehall's Lo-Boy models and is better suited for facilities that prioritize deeper treatment coverage.
A Lo-Boy model may be preferable when lower sidewalls and easier patient access are the primary considerations. The Hi-Boy is better suited when greater immersion depth is needed for larger treatment areas.
Choosing a Mobile vs. Stationary Whirlpool
The WHH-105-M is a strong choice when a facility needs a large Hi-Boy hydrotherapy tub but does not want to dedicate the equipment to one permanently plumbed location. The locking casters and pump-out drainage system allow the empty whirlpool to be repositioned as treatment needs change.
Facilities with a permanent hydrotherapy room and dedicated plumbing may instead prefer the stationary WHH-105-S.
Professional Mobile Hydrotherapy for Rehabilitation Facilities
The Whitehall 105 Gallon Hi-Boy Whirlpool - Mobile combines large-capacity hydrotherapy, deeper immersion, and mobile convenience in one professional treatment system. Its stainless steel construction, adjustable water circulation, locking casters, and pump-out drainage make this hydrotherapy tub for physical therapy well suited for rehabilitation clinics, hospitals, sports medicine programs, and athletic training facilities.
